Marian Rivera Graces Marie Claire Magazine

Another international magazine will feature Marian as cover girl adding to the growing list of publications picking her to grace their recent issue. Marie Claire Magazine will feature Marian Rivera on its March 2008 issue.
Interestingly, her exposure on that issue will not only her charming beauty adored by many but some personal information not known to too many people. She shared her personal story during an interview conducted by Marie Claire and will also be published on the same issue.

She disclose to the magazine that she's a lola's girl. "Of course, I love my mom, too," she says, "But my grandma holds first place in my heart."

She also tells how hard it is to leave her grandma behind in Cavite to pursue her budding showbiz career."Since childhood, it's always been the two of us. Always," Marian shares, "Then I made the excruciating decision to leave her because I wanted to work."

Having taught by her grandmother to stand on her own feet, an article from Philippine Entertainment Magazine said, "she found herself washing her own clothes by hand and lugging her own things to shoots, a far cry from her pampered existence in Cavite." The same article regarding her journey to the top, she says, "Independence, self-confidence, knowing what's right and wrong, the will to act, and faith all led me to where I am now."

Marian Rivera Models for Louis Vuitton

On the January 2008 issue of Preview Magazine, in its cover is Marian Rivera showcasing the luxury brand Luis Vuitton. She is seen sporting herself as retro chic for Louis Vuitton's cruise collection of bags, shoes and some other accessories.

With her still young career, who would expect to see her modeling the pricey brand. Lot of people are raising their eyebrows but hey, let's give credit to Marian. She's beautiful and a good actress. There maybe people who can be chosen to better model the product but the people of LV i'm sure have their own reason to choose Marian. Let's just be proud, one of our own was chosen.

Marian Rivera confirms she is new "Dyesebel"

During the launching of Marian as endorser of Karimadon clothing line, Marian confirms that she will play the next "Dyesebel" tv series of GMA 7 according to Philippine Entertainment Portal. according to PEP, Marian was with Manay Ethel Ramos who is considered as "Dean of Philippine Entertainment Journalism" was full of good words and praises to Marian. Ms. Ramos says "Very pleasant, very positive ang aura niya, always smiling." while at a time staring to Marian.

No doubt, Marian is very hot property nowadays especially her TV series "Marimar" is averaging 40% daily reatings in Mega Manila. Although it is coming to an end this march but of course, GMA is now preparing for its replacement "Dyesebel" which has a fantasy theme. She also had a successful movie with Richard Gutierrez "My Best Friend's Girlfriend" with box-office take approaching to P100 million.

asked about going topless, she fearlessly answered "Yes!" in the article, she said "Ayoko kasing maasiwa sa mga underwater scenes na lumalangoy ako bilang sirena, e, may inilalagay pang takip sa dibdib na hindi naman ako kumportable. Kaya inilagay ko na po sa isip ko na I'll play the role of Dyesebel, normal sa kanya bilang mermaid na topless siya." She also mentioned about the previous Dyesebel movie on which actress Alice Dixon plays, "Napanood ko yung Dyesebel ni Alice Dixson at topless po siya doon. Hindi siya conscious kaya magandang lumabas."

But she also gain some bravery about it with her trust on GMA, "Kahit naman magta-topless ako, hindi naman papayag si Direk Joyce Bernal, ganundin ang GMA-7, na magiging malaswa ang execution. Hindi gagawa ang network ng palabas na magpapababa ng integridad nila. Ang Dyesebel ay for general patronage, at sinisiguro kong mapapanood lalo ito ng mga bata."

In preparation for this sure to be a television series hit, Marian undergoes with intesive swimming lesson especially she actually don't know how to swim yet. "Talagang natsa-challenge ako sa role kasi hindi naman ako marunong lumangoy, so mag-aaral pa ako. Sabi ni Direk Joyce, hindi lang langoy sa tabi-tabi ng dagat ang gagawin ko. Gusto niya, yung talagang underwater scenes na makikipaglaro ako sa mga makukulay na isda."

There's no tentative date as to the first showing of "Dyesebel" on GMA 7 but i'm sure there are lots of televiewers already eager to see it now that "Marimar" is nearing it's end espcially for her millions of fans. And with the combination of Marian's Talent and Beauty, she will continue to capture the hear of people here and around the world.
